The people who live here should be able to sleep at night, ride the CTA, walk through their neighborhoods, and get a clear answer when they ask their alderperson for help. Deborah is running to protect what makes downtown thrive while paying equal attention to the everyday concerns of the people who call it home.
For Deborah, public service comes down to one thing: showing up. Listening to people, working with neighbors, and giving the job everything you've got. That is the kind of accessible, hands-on leadership she will bring to the ward office.
Deborah believes in safety to move through the ward with confidence. She will work for safer streets and transit, clean and well-managed public spaces, and a faster, coordinated response when residents and businesses need help. Her focus will be specific problems that are overlooked—from traffic violence and crime to dangerous transit conditions and people in crisis—and whether the response is producing results.

Deborah believes in security to build a life here. She will fight for housing people can afford, quieter nights, dependable city services, good jobs, and neighborhood conditions that help residents stay and small businesses thrive. A strong downtown must work not only for those who visit it, but for those who call it home.

Deborah believes in service that gets people answers and gets things done. She will run a ward office that is visible, accessible, and accountable, while using her decades of public service and relationships across city, county, and state government to cut through bureaucracy, connect residents with the right resources, and bring the right people together to solve problems.
